Method 1: Try re-registering the DLL file and see if that helps. Press Windows + S key together and type CMD. Now right click on it and select Run as administrator. Accept the UAC prompts. Type in the following commands one by one and hit enter: regsvr32 msvcp140.dll. After the command is executed, restart the PC.

Looks great, but still won't recognize anything installed.
  1. How to extract a system file from the Windows XP CD-ROM? There are situations where you need to expand a DLL file or any other system file from the Windows XP CD-ROM, in order to replace a corrupt or missing file in the system. Here are the instructions to expand a file from the source CD.
  2. Unzip the File on your PC and copy the content of the folder '9.8RC06.CAB-Dieppe' (not the folder itself) on the root of your SD-Card. You should see a Folder 'TomTom-Cfg' and two files 'splashw.bmp' and 'ttsystem' Important is the approximately 91MB big 'ttsystem'-File. This is the Firmware of the Carminat.

UPDATE
For those lacking TTGO.BIF file !
Open TomTom Home, Help, System Information. Copy this to Clipboard.
Look for 'ttgo.bif file contents:' Copy this all section out, take idents, and paste it into the root of SD Card/ TomTom device file named... wait for it... ttgo.bif.
Both Activators recognize the SD Card now... will update once I drive home...
UPDATE
No luck...
Ttsystem File MissingBoth Activators, Fast Activator, TTActivator, work and recognize the card. They claim to activate all but fail to patch Navigator saying probably already patched. All maps hence fail to load and nothing can be done.Ttsystem file missing text
TTActivator really works great, a much better way to download maps than the usual file share sites.
What next ? Any ideas ?
UPDATE
Looking for info in: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Notice current UniqueId as a space in it... correcting... This is also another way to build ttgo.bif.
UPDATE
Either copying ttgo.bif from TomTom Home, Help, System Information, or from the process in the link above, removing the empty space, works. Both Activators do the right thing.
My issue is that somewhere, somehow, during the last device update, Tom Tom 'pushed' ttsystem (and PND Navigator ?) into the device flash, this is why Activators could/ would not patch and activation rendered useless. Using the ttsystem and PNDNavigator from above link and copying them into my SDCard solved the issue. Downside is that there is a small delay starting the GPS as probably this files are being called to be used depracating the existing ones in flash.Hi,
I'm struggling to update my built in car (Renault Clio) TomTom. I believe it is an offline Carminat TomTom. I've read and searched this forum as much as I can but I cannot get any newer maps to work without my TomTom saying 'no maps found' even after apparent successful activation with FastActivate (04.04.2013). I'm only interested in updating to the most up-to-date UK and ROI maps that I can. The current working maps I'm using is 20 updates behind; I believe it is v725.1882
I have installed TomTom Home and updated my SD card accordingly.
I have downloaded and tried these maps which failed to work on my TomTom giving me 'no maps found' message:
United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_890_4222 (7 updates behind)
United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_915_5074 (2 updates behind)
When attempting to activate with FastActivate (04.04.2013) 'ttgo.bif' did not exist so I created it manually by using the clipboard of TomTom Home > System Information. I can also confirm that I have the correct meta.txt for the versions of the maps I've tried.
Activation succeeds and in my maps folder a .DCT file is created - I further checked this by going into TomTom Home > Manage my device and everything looked fine. However, when putting my SD card back into my car all it says is 'no maps found'. Reverting back to the backup of my maps folder (v725.1882) puts everything working again.
I realise there is a chart which dictates how high a map version you can go with your current NavCore version. I am on v8842 so I believe the highest I can go is to United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_850_2820 but I cannot find any links which aren't dead plus I was hoping to update to a newer map version providing my TomTom likes it.

File Missing Ttsystem Or Pndnavigator

Do I need to update my NavCore? I'm stumped as to what to do next because I've got nowhere. Anything that's newer than 20 updates behind would be great providing it works on my TomTom.
